On Sunday, October 29th, Providence North Community Church and Christ Community Church Are Partnering Together to Serve the Communities Around Us. This Is Going to Be an Exciting and Impactful Day as We the Church Gather to Be the Hands and Feet of Jesus, to Proclaim and Live Out the Gospel to the People, Culture, and City Around Us.

THE REFUGEE PROJECT

The Refugee Project is a non-profit that seeks to empower the refugee women of Burma, Bhutan, Haiti and Nepal who have been relocated to Houston, Texas by the United Nations because of religious and ethnic persecution.

What: We will be preparing and packing supplies for upcoming artisan classes for the refugees and tagging product. We will need about 30 people for this project.

Meet At: Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy

Time: 10AM – 12PM

Childcare: Infants to 4 year olds. (Children over 5 encouraged to participate with parents.)

What to Wear: Comfortable Work Clothes

MERCY HOUSE GLOBAL

Mercy House exists to engage, empower and disciple women around the globe primarily by providing resources to single mothers in third world countries, providing opportunities for employment & education, & disciplining them in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

What: We will have up to 35 people organize retail items directly across 1488 from Legacy.

Meet At: Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy

Time: 10AM – 12PM

Childcare: Infants to 4 year olds (Children 10 and up encouraged to participate.)

CHRISTIE’S HOUSE

Christie’s House exists to provide a place of safety and growth to women that had different sorts of traumatic experiences.

What: This project at Christie’s House is located directly across the street from the Under Over Fellowship Mission and provides renovation and repairs to Christie’s House. We will need 10 people for this project.

Meet At: Volunteers will go directly to Under Over Fellowship to start their project.

Time: 10AM – 1PM

Childcare: No Childcare Available

UNDER OVER FELLOWSHIP

Under Over Fellowship exists to worship God, equip the saints and reach the lost primarily by ministering to the homeless community in and around downtown Conroe.

What: This project at UnderOver Fellowship focuses on serving food to people at this ministry. We will need 10 people for this project.

Meet At: Volunteers will go directly to Under Over Fellowship to start their project.

Time: 10AM – 1PM

Childcare: No Childcare Available

FOREST GLEN CAMPS

Forest Glen exists to provide an environment where people can encounter God through multi-site, independent Christian camps and retreat centers, with locations throughout Texas.

What: Up to 40 people helping with several heavy projects on site at Forest Glen Camps. This will include tearing down a building, painting, building picnic tables and more.

Meet At: Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy

Time: 10AM – 1PM

Childcare: Children must be older than 10 years of age to participate. There is no childcare available for this project.

What to Wear: Comfortable Work Clothes (Bring Gloves)

HOPE BEYOND BRIDGES

Hope Beyond Bridges is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing warm, nutritious meals, clothing and other assistance to the hungry and homeless in Harris & Montgomery counties.

We will need 15 volunteers to meet at Legacy Preparatory at 10AM and then pick up the prepared meals and go deliver meals to the homeless along the 1-45 corridor from 10AM – 1PM. (Children 10 and up can participate.)

US VETS

U.S. Vets is a private non-profit organization providing housing, employment and counseling services to our nations veterans, the men and women from all branches of the armed forces who have served their country from World War II to the current conflict in Afghanistan.

This service project is available to singles, families or groups.

What: People will be sorting hygiene kits and other good to be packaged and given to vets later in the week. We will need 10 people.

Meet At: Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy

Time: 10AM – 12PM

Childcare: Children must be 5 years of age or older to participate. If you have a child that you would like to participate in serving, please register them separately.
