Name Change Sunday - Risen Vision
As we change our name, Sean explains why we are a people with great hope and great purpose - because we serve a risen King!
2021 Encouragement
Sean encourages us at the beginning of this new year to look to Jesus and to build our lives on His Word - it is the only sure foundation.
Advent 2020 | Love
For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
Advent 2020 | Joy
Jesus is an unshakeable, never-changing Joy we can cling to, no matter what life looks like.
Advent 2020 | Peace
Jesus is our Prince of Peace, entering into our chaos to rescue us. He is near to us now, and always will be. He is Emmanuel.
Advent 2020 | Hope
Week one of our Advent series looking at the hope we have in the coming of Jesus, our Savior.
Run The Race | Part Two
We have been called to a race, but how do we run it? Sean looks at how we can effectively and whole-heartedly run with our eyes set on Jesus and His Kingdom.
DOCTRINE: Kingdom (God Reigns)
We believe that Jesus' Kingdom is eternal - it will not pass away. So we live for eternity! We live to bring His Kingdom here and now and point people to His eternal Kingdom coming.
DOCTRINE: Stewardship (God Gives)
We believe God has given us a calling to steward the Gospel, as well as our time, energy, and resources, in order to further His kingdom.
DOCTRINE: Worship (God Tranforms)
Worship is a full-life response to who God is and what He has done. With our head, hands, and hearts, we want to offer ourselves as living sacrifices to God in light of His mercy toward us (Romans 12:1-2). This mercy was shown in Jesus going to the cross on our behalf. In our sin and rebellion, we were dead and deserved the wrath of God. But because Jesus lived a perfect life and became an atoning sacrifice for us at the cross, we are now no longer guilty, but have been made alive by His work. We worship in response to this good news!
DOCTRINE: Church (God Sends)
We believe that God's new covenant people is manifest in local churches of which Christ is the only Head. The church is distinguished by her gospel message, her sacred ordinances, her discipline, her great mission, and, above all, by her love for God, and by her members' love for one another and for the world.
DOCTRINE: Resurrection (God Saves)
We believe that Jesus rose again, defeating death, thus giving us a living hope for eternal life.
DOCTRINE: Cross (God Dies)
We believe that Jesus died in our place on the cross. By his sacrifice, he bore in our stead the punishment due us for our sins.
DOCTRINE: Incarnation (God Comes)
We believe that God became man - Jesus came to seek and save that which was lost.
DOCTRINE: Covenant (God Pursues)
We believe that God keeps His promises, even when we don't. He never forsakes His Word.
DOCTRINE: Fall (God Judges)
We believe that Adam, made in the image of God, distorted that image and forfeited his original blessedness β for himself and all his descendants β by falling into sin through Satan's temptation. As a result, all human beings are alienated from God, corrupted in every aspect of their being and condemned to death-apart from God's own gracious intervention.
DOCTRINE: Image (God Loves)
We believe that God created human beings, male and female, in his own image. Men and women, equally made in the image of God, enjoy equal access to God by faith in Christ Jesus and are both called to significant engagement in family, church, and civic life.
DOCTRINE: Creation (God Makes)
βIn the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.β
Genesis 1:1
DOCTRINE: Revelation (God Speaks)
We believe that God has inspired the words of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments. These writings alone constitute the Word of God, utterly authoritative, without error in the original writings, complete in its revelation of his will for salvation, sufficient for all that God requires us to believe and do.
