In Matthew chapter 6, Jesus teaches his disciples how to pray. Being of Jewish background, his audience had heard prayers before, but not like this. Jesus introduced his audience to a God that was both a Father and Holy. A God that reigned in Heaven and ruled on earth. A God that was near, caring, forgiving and greater than any temptation that the world may have.
This year, our prayer is that every child walks away from Kids Week knowing who God is and how we relate to him. Our stories don’t merely intersect with His, he writes our story. We invite all Kindergarten through Sixth graders to venture with us as we take a peek into The Kingdom.
